…A medical update column of the spousal kind
Ever see that eighties flick where Michelle Pfeiffer is Married to the Mob? Just as Michelle couldn’t outrun her hubby’s occupation, I am Wed to the Med, and as the saying goes, if you can’t beat ‘em, you may as well join forces. My fascination with the field has resulted in the writing of medical articles for magazines, and now, this column.
Join me as I talk about what’s going on in Canadian medicine—the good, the bad, and the bloody, and how it applies to our lives—yours and mine.
Why read Wed to the Med?
- What is more important than our health? Not only is medical news fascinating, it affects us. We all have a vested interest in staying informed. Not an advice column, Wed to the Med aims to educate, entertain, and engage readers in the latest in Canadian medical news, with a local, Kelowna, BC slant.
- Medical news is interesting, important, and timely; Medical news invites controversy and creates conversation.
- Married (happily, I might add) to Dr. Paul Linden, an ER physician & the clinical trauma director for Kelowna General Hospital, I live a lot of medicine. Join me for high-interest stories, injected with a little of my personal perspective, not only as the spouse of a physician, but a mother of two teenage children.
- Look for Wed to the Med, every Wednesday, in the Kelowna Daily Courier, and here, on my blog, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- I invite you to ask questions, make comments, learn a lot, and laugh a little. I look forward to meeting you!
