About the Project

“Project Literacy is a non-profit organization that provides free tutoring to learners nineteen years and older.  Generous and talented volunteer tutors assist learners in reading, writing and math.  It is a satisfying place for all: a place where learners receive the help they need to achieve their goals and where tutors give of their time to make a positive change in the lives of individuals in need in our community.”–Bonnie Girourd, LOL Member and PLKS Education Coordinator
